Vegan Food
As vegans we eat much better and healthier food than people who eat meat.

One of the most important aspects of vegan food is that you should try every vegan food a couple of times to enjoy the tastes and to get used to the different tastes. I used to hate certain plants and vegetables but after eating them for a while, I now love them.
Remember that you have eaten meat and animal-based products for the most part of your life which means that when you go vegan and start eating more plants, fruits and vegetables, your taste buds will change for the better. Once you stop consuming dead flesh, animal blood, animal bones, animal muscle cells, tendons, and animal muscle tissue, your taste buds alter and or return to the state you were born with. You gain a richer taste and a better sense of smell for plants, fruits, and vegetables.
Often as human beings when we taste something for the first time, it may seem strange and new because our taste buds are not used to the new flavours. Do not let this discourage you from trying out vegan foods. There are many vegan dishes I’ve tried and didn’t like the first time but that I now love eating. Our brains are hard-wired to be defensive towards new things and new experiences but after a while of trying new foods, you realise how delicious many foods are. I remember I used to hate avocados but now I love them.
Is veganism expensive?
Veganism is not expensive. Fruits and vegetables are cheaper than animal flesh, i.e., meat. Eating whole foods, rice, grains, plants, potatoes, and legumes is cheaper than eating expensive animal body parts. Many vegan types of substitute meat do cost money just like how any other product in supermarkets costs money but as a vegan, you do not have to buy all the vegan meats in the supermarket to be vegan. You are fully welcome to do that if you want to and if you would like to spend extra money on vegan products, but you do not have to do that to be a wonderful vegan. It’s fully possible to live on a low vegan budget. Vegans all around the world do it every day and do not spend extra money on vegan meats and vegan products. It is even possible to save money on a vegan diet if you want to because once you quit eating meat you can save the money that you used to spend on meat and animal products and instead buy cheaper vegan whole foods, fruits, vegetables, plants, grains, and legumes.

“My stomach is not a graveyard for dead animals” – Bob Marley
There are over 80,000 thousand edible plants, fruits, and vegetables in our world and yet people eat dead animal body parts and call it food.
We can agree that all animals have bodies, eyes, noses, legs, mouths, ears, a heart, lungs, intestines, and other bodily functions like human beings. Therefore, we can conclude that when an animal dies or is killed or slaughtered, what remains is a lifeless dead body. Cutting up the animal’s dead body and eating his or her dead flesh, i.e., eating the animal’s dead body as meat, steaks, meatballs, meat-based kebab, animal meat-based burgers, animal ribs, turkey, chicken, chicken wings, chicken nuggets, sausages, salami, bacon, pork or pork chops or what have you, is the act of eating dead animal body parts. Just like human bodies all dead bodies including animal dead bodies should be buried and should not be eaten.
Vegans bury the dead, we do not eat them. This means when an animal dies or is killed or slaughtered the appropriate thing to do is to bury the dead body and not eat it.

One of the best ways to learn more about vegan food is to experiment by yourself or with a friend whilst cooking different vegan dishes and vegan foods at home. By having a positive and optimistic outlook on life and on veganism you can make your vegan transition into a wonderful journey of learning and exploring a whole new wonderful world of food, a world that has been hidden in plain sight and has been unnoticed most part of our lives because we were all indoctrinated into a meat-based world, culture, and society.
Our perceptions and understanding of food were altered whilst growing up so much so that going vegan is like going back to school and learning about nature and about food all over again, and that is one of the most amazing aspects of going vegan. We get to learn new things and we start to understand and see the world differently. We see the world of food in a more health-conscious and empowering way. When I went vegan, I threw away all the animal-based products in my cupboards and in my fridge and instead filled them with vegan foods. Learning about the world’s different plants, fruits, and vegetables that I had never heard of before has been a wonderfully enlightening journey.
“Vegan food is so beautiful it’s like a poem, like a flower, a garden of roses, a symphony, or a melody from Mozart, Beethoven or Bach. Vegan food is when angels are cooking. Vegan food makes you sing and dance in a meadow of daisies and daffodils. Vegan food is what changes the world from darkness into light, from evil to a world of love and compassion.” – Toto Wanje
Veganism is not about losing anything. It is about gaining peace within yourself by knowing that you do not contribute to animals being killed and tortured. As vegans, we don’t lose anything by going vegan. In fact, a whole new world of health and food is opened to us when we go vegan. You may think that you are giving up meat but in fact, there are several different vegan meat versions in supermarkets and restaurants all around the world.
